EMIRATES UNVEILS THE EMIRATES BEAUTY HUB IN COLLABORATION WITH DIOR AND DAVINES

Dior and Davines will collaborate with Emirates to establish The Emirates Beauty Hub, located at the airline's Dubai headquarters.

Emirates, in order to maintain its renowned "signature glamour" among its Dubai-based cabin crew, has formed partnerships with two prestigious luxury beauty brands.

Dior and Davines will collaborate with Emirates to establish The Emirates Beauty Hub, located at the airline's Dubai headquarters.

Operating daily and catering specifically to the 18,000 Emirates cabin crew members in the city, the beauty hub will feature trained consultants from Dior and Davines.

These consultants will provide personalized appointments for makeup application, as well as offer advice on skincare, haircare, and grooming.

Emirates has emphasized that its staff will be recommended specific Dior products to recreate the airline's makeup uniform, such as the Dior Forever Skin Glow foundation, Diorshow On Stage Liner, Dior Backstage Face and Body Flash Perfector Concealer, and Rouge Dior Forever Liquid.

Additionally, the beauty hub will provide guidance on nutrition and fitness best practices.

The UAE-based company recognizes its highly trained, professional, and cosmopolitan cabin crew as integral to the globally recognized Emirates brand and passenger experience.

Emirates has implemented some of the most stringent beauty and grooming standards for cabin crew in the travel industry. Previous cabin crew members have spoken out about potential pay reductions for failing to adhere to Emirates' image policy or for experiencing weight gain.

Female team members are required to wear Emirates' signature red lipstick, along with clear or red nail polish. They are expected to maintain neat hairstyles and must not have visible tattoos.

Emirates reportedly offers an "Appearance Management Programme" for cabin crew members who have gained weight. This program includes regular measurement checks and provides personalized diet and exercise plans.

In contrast, most European and US airlines have moved away from image-based policies. For instance, British Airways and Virgin Atlantic ended their mandatory makeup requirements in 2019 and also allowed visible tattoos. These relaxed rules have extended to remove gender-specific uniform requirements as well.
