British Beauty Council Gets a Boost with New Expert Advisory Board

The British Beauty Council has strengthened its ranks with a new cohort of industry experts. Joining the Advisory Board are renowned figures in technology, fragrance, makeup artistry, and barbering.

Among the new additions are Dr. Alex Box, known for her virtual cosmetic software, V-metics; Lyn Harris, a celebrated British perfumer; Nadia Stacey, a BAFTA Award-winning hair and makeup designer; and Richard Marshall, the founder of Pall Mall Barbers.

The board has also welcomed Professor Sandeep Ranote, a medical director and consultant psychiatrist, to address issues related to self-esteem, mental health, and representation in the beauty industry.

These new members will provide strategic insights to help the British Beauty Council drive cross-industry campaigns, influence policy changes, and raise awareness about important beauty issues. They will join existing members and ambassadors, including Kate Moss, Bobbi Brown, Sam McKnight, and Caroline Hirons.

To further enhance its reach, the Council has also established a new Media Advisory Board, bringing together professionals from traditional print media and digital content creation. This board aims to amplify the influence of beauty communications in the UK.

The appointments come as the British beauty industry continues to thrive, experiencing a remarkable 11% growth last year. This growth trajectory positions the UK to potentially overtake France as the largest beauty market in Europe by the end of 2025.
