Beauty is poised to be one of the top-performing sectors this Black Friday, with a projected 48% increase in web traffic compared to the previous year. This prediction comes from a recent report by Tank, a digital PR agency, which analyzed keyword data for over 150 retailers.

Fashion is expected to lead the pack with a 123% increase in web traffic, followed by electronics (76%), beauty and personal care, home appliances, and health and wellness.

Marks & Spencer is projected to see the most significant jump in website traffic (1,456%), followed by Debenhams (295%) and John Lewis & Partners (134%). Other prominent brands like Apple, Sephora, and The Body Shop are also expected to experience substantial growth.

However, the report also highlights a decline in organic traffic for furniture, fitness equipment, and smart home devices.

Martin Harris, Head of Digital at Tank, emphasizes the importance of organic search visibility for retailers, especially in the face of increasing competition from news sites. He advises retailers to strategically optimize their content and utilize paid advertising and social media marketing to drive traffic and boost sales during this peak shopping period.
