You're one of the co-founders of "You're Looking Well." Can you tell us a bit about what inspired you to create this beautiful skincare brand?

Absolutely! Thanks for having me. So, I co-founded "You're Looking Well" with my partner Anthony. Interestingly, we both came from a completely different industry—we were research analysts. We used to spend long days doing deep dives into various sectors, and as we got older, we started noticing how lifestyle, gut health, and sleep were directly impacting our skin. That realisation led us to explore the skincare world in-depth, applying our research skills to understand how factors like inflammation, gut health, and sleep quality affect skin health. We quickly found there was no skincare brand that truly connected what happens inside your body with your skin’s appearance. So, we dove headfirst into developing a brand that merges internal health with skincare.

That’s an amazing journey! How did you know you were onto something?

Well, we weren’t sure at first! But after researching and speaking with experts—top dietitians, cosmetic scientists, and even microbiologists—we found out we were definitely on the right track. They not only confirmed our findings but even offered to help develop the products themselves. That was the tipping point for us. So, we left our jobs on the same day and fully committed to making “You're Looking Well” a reality.

It's not every day you hear about analysts diving into skincare! What makes your approach so different from other skincare brands?

What sets us apart is our scientific approach. There’s a lot of pseudoscience in the supplement and skincare worlds, but we wanted to dig into what really works, based on clinical evidence. And with innovation happening so fast in skincare, there are some incredible ingredients out there. We made sure to harness that, so our products combine the best scientific research with simplicity.

Speaking of products, what’s in your range and how do they work together?

Our product line is straightforward—we have four hero products: a day cream, a night cream, a day pill, and a night pill. The idea was to create a routine that’s easy to follow, without an overwhelming number of steps. Each product complements the others. For example, our day cream is packed with prebiotics and postbiotics to nourish your skin’s microbiome, while the day pill contains probiotics that work internally to support your gut and skin health. The night products, on the other hand, help with repair and sleep quality—again, tackling both the inside and outside aspects of skin health.

Everyone’s loving your brand design! Who’s behind it?

That’s all thanks to a brilliant young designer from New York! We actually had a different design concept initially, but when we met her, she told us it was terrible! She sketched something fresh right in front of us—clean, plump, and yellow—and it instantly clicked. The yellow packaging has been a hit, and we love how it brings a feel-good vibe to the brand.

You mentioned your day and night pills. Can you explain how they differ and what’s inside them?

Definitely! The day pill is a probiotic with 21 billion CFUs and three bacterial strains, each targeting different aspects of health: skin, digestion, and mental well-being. It’s combined with vitamins like B complex, D, K, and zinc, all at effective dosages. The night pill is more about helping you relax and sleep. It contains magnesium, L-theanine, and antioxidants like grape seed extract, which help repair your skin overnight while calming the mind.

Are your products suitable for all skin types?

That’s a great question. We designed our products with all skin types in mind, especially sensitive skin. Our skincare is free from essential oils, fragrances, and silicones, which can be irritating for some. The actives we use, like stabilised vitamin C and bio-retinoids, are effective yet gentle. That said, no product works 100% for everyone, so we always recommend people listen to their skin and adjust their routine accordingly.

What’s next for "You're Looking Well"? Will you expand the product line?

While we believe in simplicity and don’t want to overwhelm people with too many products, we are open to extending the range if there’s a real need. Right now, our focus is on making sure we provide the best experience with the products we have. But who knows? Maybe a hydrating serum or other specialised treatments could be in the future!
